Thank you for visiting the website of Christ Our Savior Anglican Church in Torrance, California!

We are currently functioning without a permanent rector so, instead of weekly Holy Eucharist, our Sunday morning worship regularly consists of the traditional service of Morning Prayer led by our Junior Warden.  During this service we read scripture, chant ancient canticles, and offer prayers of thanksgiving and petition to God.  The service ends with a short homily.

As their schedules allow, we are blessed to have Fr. Steve Kennedy or Fr. Charles Myers lead us in Holy Communion.  The schedule varies, but we try to have communion at least once per month.

At Christ Our Savior Anglican, we follow the rich liturgical tradition of the English reformation which provides great opportunities for personal spiritual formation.  We are a small and welcoming parish so please join us – we look forward to meeting you!

Current Adult Sunday School Class:  Old Testament Survey using Peter Leithart’s book,

A House For My Name.

This series develops the overall themes and patterns which are found in the Old Testament and continued in the New Testament.  If you have ever been confused about why a particular O.T. story doesn’t seem to fit with scripture or make sense on its own, this study will help develop the larger context in order to provide a more cohesive understanding of the details.  We meet every Sunday at 9:30 am.
